1952	Born in Ikeda Hokkaido-where Tokachi Wine is produced.
1975	Graduated from Tsudajuku University, Tokyo with a mathematics degree
1978-80	Resided in New York and attended the Wine and Spirits courses at Cornell University.
1980-85	Returned to Japan and joined wine importer and wholesaler Hiroya Co., LTD. and was responsible for education and making sales manuals, pamphlets for liquor shops, consumers, and sales. Served as a chief of C.L.W.(Creative Ladies Wine-team),a wine promotion team consisting of ladies only.
1986	Founded and acted president "Wine & Wine Culture" Co.,LTD.
1988	Published wine book named "California Wine" from Shibata Publishing Co.,LTD.
1989-94	Acted as the chief editor of Japanese WINE & SPIRITS Magazine
1992 on	Opened Tanabe Yumi Wine School
1993	Published wine study guide books named "Success Wine Book" and "Success Notebook" from Diamomdfriedman Co.,Ltd.
1994	Contributed as a special judge to Sydney Royal Wine Show in Australia
1995	Published wine study guide books named Tanabe Yumi Wine Book and Tanabe Yumi Wine Note from Asuka publishing Co.,Ltd.
